SMS / Mobile Messaging Terms & Conditions

Buoy-Fish, Inc. (buoy.fish) — Effective date: July 22, 2026

1. Program description

The Buoy-Fish, Inc. mobile messaging program sends text (SMS) messages to customers and prospective customers who have opted in to receive them, from our toll-free number +1 (866) 486-3941. Buoy.Fish is a maritime asset tracking platform that helps fishing operations track their gear and prevent gear loss. We send the following types of messages:

  • Account and login verification codes (one-time passcodes), sent when you request to sign in to or verify your account at app.buoy.fish using your phone number.
  • Account and service notifications related to your Buoy.Fish account.
  • Customer care messages replying to inquiries you send us (for example, through our contact form).

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages under this program.

2. Example messages

Messages you receive from us will look like these examples:

  • “Your Buoy.Fish verification code is 482913. This code expires in 10 minutes.”
  • “Buoy.Fish: Thanks for reaching out about gear tracking for your fleet. Are you available for a quick call this week? Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”
  • “Buoy.Fish: Your account email address was changed. If this wasn’t you, contact [email protected]. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”

3. How you opt in

You can consent to receive text messages from us by:

  • Checking the SMS consent checkbox next to the phone number field on our contact form. The checkbox is optional and is never pre-checked.
  • Entering your mobile number and requesting a verification code when signing up for or signing in to your account at app.buoy.fish.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of using the Buoy.Fish service. You can always use email-based sign-in instead, and you can contact us without providing a phone number.

4. Message frequency

Message frequency varies. Verification codes are sent only when you request them. Account notifications and customer care messages are occasional and depend on your account activity and inquiries.

5. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by your mobile carrier according to your mobile plan. Buoy-Fish, Inc. does not charge for text messages.

6. How to opt out

Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. After you text STOP, we will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further messages from this program. If you use SMS-based sign-in, you can also switch to email-based sign-in in your account settings, or contact us at [email protected] to have your number removed.

7. Help and support

Reply HELP for help at any time, or contact us at [email protected] or +1 (866) 486-3941.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle your phone number and messaging data. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your use of our services is also governed by our Terms of Service.

9. Carrier disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Messages are supported on major US carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others); message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator.
